International Conference

In April, the Itsasargia International Conference of Gure Esku was held in Ficoba (Irun). The first round table moderated by Jon Olano, under the title “Resolution of territorial conflicts at European level”, brought together Basque, Catalan and Galician journalists, such as Iñaki Soto (Gara), Ferrán Casas (Nacio Digital) and María Obelleiro (Nós Diario). In the second, with Zelai Nikolas as moderator, it was about giving answers to the “Citizen activation in the new wave of sovereignty”, with the participation of the Irish Patricia Mac Bride (Ireland’s Future), the Catalan Elena Jiménez (Òmnium Cultural), the Scottish Maggie Lenon (Women for Independence) and the Basque Josu Etxaburu (Gure Esku).

Between the two round tables we held a political appearance in which the spokesman of Gure Esku Josu Etxaburu and the lawyer Irantzu Perello made public the political proposal agreed in the Itsasargia debate process.
